Happy Art

Happy Art is the name of the playful art displays that randomly appear on the hillside at Old Barn Self Storage. The art is clearly visible from the Highway between Nevada City and Grass Valley and has become somewhat a conversion topic.

In 2008 we created a contest for the school children of the area to create and submit Happy Art design ideas.

Over $2000 in prizes was awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in last year's Happy Art contest.

Winners were selected for the months of October, November and December and gifts were also awarded to the class rooms of the winning participants.

We are hoping the Pumpkin Patch can out due the amount given last year but this will happen only through your adoption donations

We are grateful to Hometown Hydroponics and Peaceful Valley of Grass Valley who donated thousands of dollars and many hours to make this years' Pumpkin Patch for kids successful.

Old Barn Self Storage hopes that we can make this an annual project with school children planting the pumpkin seeds next May. The kids can see their results when school resumes in August and experience the harvest in October and November.
